Deepa Nallappan, based in Montreal, Canada, is a dedicated practitioner, performer, and instructor of Bharatanatyam. Renowned for her fervor, expertise, and elegance, Deepa views dance as a potent form of expression that metamorphoses the dancer into a completely different persona on the stage. Trained in Bharatanatyam by Guru Sri M Swamy and Smt. Jyothi Pattabhiram, Deepa has delivered numerous memorable performances.
With a mission to pass on the intricacies of Bharatanatyam to the next generation, Deepa imparts training to children and aspiring young talents. As the Creative Director of "ParamNrithyalaya," dedicated to teaching and promoting Indian Classical arts in Montreal, Deepa plays a pivotal role.
She is the artistic director of Param des Arts & visionary behind the Natyanjali festival in Montreal, an annual event around February/March. This festival unites artists from diverse classical backgrounds, drawing participants from across Canada and North America.
Deepa advocates that the ardor for art paves the path ahead through various initiatives.
