Ciro Melgaço

Ciro Melgaço is a cultural worker, Brazilian movement artist and economist with a degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He has over 15 years' experience in dance, self-taught in Brazil, including experience in groups, companies and workshops of various styles. With these projects, he has traveled and participated in several festivals in Brazil, Argentina, Canada, France and Colombia, to name but a few.
Based in Montreal since 2021, Ciro has collaborated with independent companies and choreographers such as PPS Danse (David Rancourt and Jessica Serli), Théâtre I.N.K. (Marilyn Daoust), Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, Alejandro Sajgalik, and others, as a performer-creator. Lately, he's been looking to further blend his knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of the arts, devoting more time and energy to his bureaucratic side. Currently, he is assistant to the general and artistic director at Art Circulation on a part-time basis.
