Theater Production Auditions

We are recruiting dancer-actors/dancer-actresses for a physical theatre production exploring themes of rejection, self-discovery, self-acceptance, and friendship. The story follows the protagonist who, after being rejected by a loved one, begins to build their ideal friend. The story will also draw inspiration from the director’s experience with autism.

Our goal is to present this production at the Fringe Canada festival, as well as at Montreal theatres.

The production will be developed collaboratively as a team over the course of one year. Rehearsal dates and times are yet to be determined.

This audition is open to anyone who has the necessary time and commitment, but experience in dance or physical theatre will be a valuable asset. Availability for rehearsals over the course of a year will be required.

We are currently seeking funding and hope to compensate the dancer-actors either through part of the funding budget or the performance earnings. The production is non-union.

Auditions will take place on May 11 and May 24, 2025.
