Technical Manager
Created in 2021, Manivelle is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a key space for the artistic community at the Saint-Charles de Limoilou church site. With its unique creation, rehearsal, and performance spaces, it aims to support artists across all disciplines by providing specialized resources and fostering interdisciplinary exchanges. Through its activities, Manivelle also seeks to highlight the heritage and history of Saint-Charles de Limoilou church.

Responsibilities
- Assess technical requirements for venue rental requests
- Plan and oversee technical setup for events
- Improve venue facilities in coordination with the building manager
- Support resident companies during setup and teardown
- Maintain and manage equipment inventory in collaboration with the technical director of the resident company, Machine de Cirque
- Recruit technical staff as needed for setup and teardown, in collaboration with the technical director of Machine de Cirque
- Create technical plans based on event requirements
Profile
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to lead a team
- Problem-solving mindset and resource optimization skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Awareness of sustainable development and circular economy practices
- Basic knowledge of acrobatic equipment (an asset)
- Driver’s license (an asset)
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (an asset)
Requirements
- Significant experience in event management
- Recognized technical training or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in basic computer tools on Mac and PC (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
- Familiarity with technical design software such as Autocad, WYSIWYG, Vectorworks, or equivalent
Employment Conditions
- 9-month renewable contract
- Position to start no later than March 2025
- Compensation: $30/hour
- 20 hours per week
- Flexible schedule, with occasional evening and weekend availability required
- Hybrid work environment, but regular presence at Saint-Charles de Limoilou church (Québec City) is essential
