Professional Workshops – The Golden Ratio – Compagnie Marie Chouinard

This year, Compagnie Marie Chouinard is pleased to host the 9th edition of its international workshop for professional and pre-professional dancers.

Over the course of three days, participants will have the unique opportunity to dive into the artistic universe of Marie Chouinard, learning about her choreographic systems and absorbing her rigorous and pulsating language.

The days will begin with sessions focused on meditation and body awareness through breathing and sound. The distinctive rhythms and physicality of the choreographer’s work, including breath work, spinal movements, presence, and connections, will be studied in depth. These elements will allow participants to enhance their technique and deepen their interpretative work.

The workshops will be led by five exceptional dancers from the COMPAGNIE: Carol Prieur, Clémentine Schindler, Celeste Robbins, Michael Baboolal, and Motrya Kozbur.

Workshop Dates:

• Friday, August 23, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
• Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
