Responsibilities

Educational Tasks

  • Deliver curriculum-based lessons and courses
  • Offer academic support and supervision

Other Professional Tasks

  • Take charge of projects assigned by the school administration
  • Communicate and follow up with colleagues, school administration, and parents (intervention plans, student follow-ups, etc.)
  • Supervise student arrivals and transitions
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and evaluations

Requirements and Desired Qualifications

  • Be enrolled full-time in a Quebec university in a Bachelor’s program in Dance Education, have completed at least 15 credits, and provide proof of current registration, as well as successful completion of a French language test (TECFÉE, SEL, or CÉFRANC) before the end of your studies

Meet one of the qualification requirements below:

Qualifications

  • Temporary Teaching Authorization – Required
    OR
  • Teaching License (Brevet d’enseignement) – Required
    OR
  • Probationary Teaching Permit – Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education – Preschool and Elementary (asset)

Languages

  • Spoken French – Advanced – Required
  • Written French – Advanced – Required
