Festival des Faubourgs
On August 22, 23 and 24, 2025, the Festival des Faubourgs returns for its second edition! Entirely conceived and presented in the Centre-Sud area, the festival unfurls along nearly 2 km of Ontario Street, both indoors and outdoors, to celebrate the neighborhood’s cultural dynamism. Our aim is to showcase the eclectic character of this teeming area through its history, its present energy and its bright future.
The Écomusée du fier monde, USINE C, Prospero, Le Cabaret Lion d’Or, Voies culturelles des faubourgs, Espace Libre and Maison de la culture Janine-Sutto have joined forces to create this multidisciplinary signature event for the Quartier culturel des Faubourgs, opening their doors to your proposals and taking you to a host of inspiring, atypical venues.
The neighborhood is our stage, and it’s up to you to perform!
What we’re looking for
The Festival des Faubourgs organizing committee is looking for artists of all generations, communities and disciplines to rock Ontario Street this summer!
-Are you an artist, collective or creative company?
-Do you have a creation in progress, a first work in preparation or a light project ready to see the light of day?
-Does your artistic approach foster links with our communities and neighborhood?
-Do your ideas stand out from the crowd?
-Do you live in our neighborhood, in Montreal or elsewhere?
-Do you dream of taking over some of the legendary sites in the Quartier culturel des Faubourgs?
-Does the old Faubourg à m’lasse district inspire you?
If you answered yes to these questions: our call is for you!
Type of proposal
All artistic disciplines are welcome (theater, visual arts, dance, music, etc.).
We invite you to submit :
– Turnkey
– Requiring few technical requirements
– With lightweight sets
– Indoor or outdoor
