Auditions for Contemporary Dance Work

Les Productions des pieds des mains are looking for contemporary dancers who can sing for a research-creation project.

Conditions

Training and experience in contemporary dance
Comfortable with singing and rhythm
Comfortable with theatrical expression
Basic musical training (ideally, ability to read music)
Playing a musical instrument would be an asset
Theatrical training an asset
Be available during these periods :
Monday to Friday, June 2 to 27, 2025
November 3 to 7, 2025

Compensation: $21 to $27/hour for a minimum of 100 hours (depending on subsidies).
Work environment: rigorous, caring and inclusive.

Priority will be given to dancers from diverse backgrounds for a piece on migratory movements.

Auditions by invitation on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Maison de la Culture Ahuntsic.

Who is Les Productions des pieds des mains?
Les Productions des pieds des mains is a company founded in 2004 by multidisciplinary artist Menka Nagrani. For the past 21 years, it has been creating interdisciplinary and inclusive works, presented on the professional Montreal stage (Tangente, Théâtre Lachapelle, Théâtre Prospero, Maisons de la Culture…), as well as on tour in Quebec and internationally. The company has received numerous awards for artistic excellence, and its director was recently awarded the Ordre des arts et des lettres du Québec.
