In this introductory course, you’ll discover the fundamental concepts of digital art, as well as the main creative tools used to create digital works.
The practical aspect of this course will enable you to explore different digital art technologies, revealing their many artistic possibilities.
Objectives
- Understand the basic concepts and principles of digital art.
- Learn about the main tools, sub-disciplines and current practices in digital art.
- Identify current issues: archiving, free software, ecological impact, etc.
- Acquire an understanding of different technological tools for the creation and dissemination of digital works, through concrete examples and practical demonstrations.
Who can benefit from this workshop?
Dance artists interested in digital creation, especially those at the beginning of their exploration of the subject.
Instructor

Electronic music composer and live artist for over 10 years under the moniker Famelik, Mourad Bennacer graduated from UdeM in digital music, honing his skills in sound synthesis, sampling, interaction and immersion. Composer and sound designer for the short film Robots of Brixton, he later joined the French collective Nature Graphique and collaborated on several installations with a focus on video mapping, sound immersion and interactive technologies. In 2015, he created the sound environment and audio-interactive process for the Ganymede project, which premiered at Symposium IX.
