Les manteaux su’ l’lit pis les bottes dans l’bain is a unique hybrid concept designed as an immersive and contemporary experience of the called dance vigil: a festive gathering based on the collective practice of traditional Québécois dances, embodying the heritage and cultural diversity of Quebec. The concept blends moments of performance and attempts to erase the boundary between the artists (from La R’voyure and guests) and the spectators, making them actors and bearers of this cultural heritage.
La R’voyure will be accompanied by their guests, renowned artists: Capucine Maldague Mathieu calling the dances, Rachel Aucoin on piano, Stéphanie Lépine on violin, and Dani Tardif in storytelling and singing.
The 9th edition of the vigil-show will take place on February 24, 2024, at the Théâtre Paradoxe starting at 7 p.m. (the evening begins at 8 p.m.).
