Nonprofit Organization Taxes
A short and very useful course to learn more about tax law as it applies to non-profit organizations
The training will allow participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the tax issues that affect their non-profit organization, while being better informed on certain practical aspects of taxation.
The trainer will present fundamental concepts related to the goods and services tax (GST) as well as the Quebec sales tax (QST), in addition to addressing the tax obligations specific to non-profit organizations (NPOs).
The main objective is to provide objective information on your organization’s tax obligations by answering concrete and practical questions. For example, topics such as the taxation of membership dues and the key differences between the T4, T4a and T5 forms will be discussed.
Objectives
- Define the tax status of nonprofit organizations.
