Understanding Your Obligations and Rights in Occupational Health and Safety: Demystifying the CNESST (Workshop for Choreographers/Producers)

Learn to comply with the occupational health and safety act and finally get answers to your questions about how the CNESST works

Exact schedule to follow

In Quebec, any business or self-employed worker who hires at least one worker is required to register with the CNESST before starting their activities. This obligation applies to both for-profit businesses, non-profit organizations, and also to any independent artist or dance company hiring at least one dance performer, even if not paid, for the creation, production, and dissemination of a performance.

This workshop is a golden opportunity to learn how to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, understand your obligations in this area, and discover the ins and outs of the CNESST with respect to the specific reality and unique status of dance artists.

You will also have the opportunity to study particular cases that may cause uncertainty about the rules and procedures to follow

Do you sometimes find yourself working as a performer under contract and want to know about the protection and resources available to you in occupational health and safety, in addition to learning how to navigate the processes to benefit from them?

Attend your workshop for performers.
