Annie Gagnon
April 10 to 14, 2023, 9:00 am to 11:00 am
Annie Gagnon‘s class focuses on exploring the quality of presence to oneself, to the other, to the group and to space. Through guided improvisations and creative games, you will explore the notions of instinct, intuition, alignment and the quest for authenticity in movement. The objective is to stimulate your creativity and develop tools to feed your interpretation.
What you will learn in this class is inspired by the practices of Chi-Kung, Polarity, Chi Nei Tsang, art therapy and a continuous personal research of the teacher of the movement of self-presence.

Peter Jasko has been teaching Flying Low for 25 years. This form primarily addresses the dancer’s relationship to the floor, using only spirals and curves. Short sequences facilitate learning how to fall and recover. Using all available speeds, directions and energy levels, the class passes through exhaustion, fascination, and amazement.
About Peter
After graduating from the J. L. Bella Conservatory of Dance in Banska Bystrica and the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava, both in Slovakia, Peter Jasko went to P.A.R.T.S., directed by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, in Brussels, in 2002. He then danced for several international companies and artists, and cofounded the SlovaKs Dance Collective. Peter has taught in 46 countries over the past 15 years.
The Regroupement québécois de la danse’s multiregional classes in Sherbrooke are offered in collaboration with Sursaut Dance Company. They are made possible thanks to financial support from the Gouvernement du Québec and Compétence Culture, comité sectoriel de main-d’œuvre en culture.
