This series of classes is designed to meet the practice needs of people from a variety of disciplines, a spectrum of experience and ages. All are welcome.
The aim is to expand our physical capacity, nourish our elasticity and release tension, move and explore with greater awareness of how dynamic contexts liberate our capacities and support our development.
Classes are recurring and rigorous, to support continuity of learning and development.
We will explore the quality of our movement and listening through encounters with :
Joint movements
Coordination
Improvisation
Body to body
Movement situations (encounters with objects practice ball, martial arts belt, wooden blocks, etc.)
300.00$ for complete series (2x 2 hours per week for five weeks, 20 hours total)
OR
150.00$ for half series (1x 2 hours per week for five weeks, 10 hours total)

ACCESSIBILITY
The workshop is given in English and French
The Espace 215 studio has hardwood floors. The studio is located on the 3rd floor and is accessible by stairs only.
Sessions include:
Joint movements
– Standing, on the spot, focusing on spiral movements
– Continuous demonstration style that participants follow
Coordination
– exploring the quality of our joint mobility through multi-plane and multi-joint coordination patterns that dance in space
– Continuous demonstration style that participants follow
Improvisations
– Individual exploration of qualitative and task-based improvisations
– Demonstration and voice provide visual and verbal cues, after which it’s up to participants to manifest each proposal
– We take our time with each proposal
– Work takes place both standing up and on the floor, and can be adapted if necessary
Body to body
– work in contact with a partner
– dances based on tasks or connection points are set in motion verbally and by demonstration
Movement situations
– task-based dances with objects
