EFER – Parts+Labour_Danse

Presented in collaboration with the Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée.

Efer, “ashes” in Hebrew, is an ode to the unknown and the unknowable – an invitation to anchor oneself in reality and embrace our ephemeral existence. This contemporary ritual highlights the paradox between our presence in the world and the inevitability of becoming dust and ashes.

Winner of the RIDEAU prize, Efer is Parts+Labour’s most daring work to date, a symbol of finality and renewal. Seven performers, in striking physicality, explore loss, community, and the transformative power of grief in a liminal space – neither here nor there, stripped bare yet brimming with vitality.
