Spectacle: Direction assistée by Brice Noeser
Created by Brice Noeser, Direction assistée is a delightful performance that explores the intimate bond with the mother tongue and the relationship with foreign languages.
What imaginary world is created by a language and the person who speaks it? With humor, intelligence and poetry, the choreographer challenges four performers to a series of thought-provoking tests. Between riddles and sporting jousts, the piece juggles the discomfort of incommunicability with the exaltation of successful communication. Unexpected links are forged between the performers and the audience, revealing extraordinary ways of relating to one another.
Performed by an intergenerational cast, including Jacqueline Van De Geer, Karina Iraola, Elinor Fueter and Sona Pogossian, Direction assistée invites our curiosity about sounds and codes specific to an idiom.
