Dr. Élysa Côté-Séguin, psychologist at CHU Sainte-Justine, will guide you through an introduction to dance therapy, a therapeutic approach that integrates movement and dance to promote emotional and psychological well-being. With her years of experience and collaboration with the National Centre for Dance Therapy (CNDT), Dr. Côté-Séguin offers a workshop that combines both theory and practical exercises.
Workshop Objectives:
- Understand the theoretical foundations and benefits of dance therapy.
- Explore practical applications of this approach in clinical and group settings.
- Presentation and summary of her doctoral thesis: Impacts of Group Dance Therapy on Body Image Disturbances and Interoception in Adolescent Girls Hospitalized for Eating Disorders.
