In Imagé, three performers face the obstacles that can stand in the way of achieving a positive self-image. The performance focuses on adolescence, a particularly sensitive period for learning to love oneself. By addressing comparison, competition, and perfectionism, Imagé reveals how our perception of ourselves can stray from reality until the person in the mirror becomes a stranger. By exploring street dance within contemporary performance, the piece highlights our neglectful behaviors toward ourselves and offers a life lesson drawn from the diversity of nature. Through this discovery, the power of our uniqueness is revealed.
