Body and Voice: Discovering the Total Instrument

Traditionally used as an external support in dance, dancers will explore the voice alongside Angélique Willkie. By fully utilizing the performance instrument, participants simultaneously delve into their movement vocabulary, vocal possibilities, and the relationship between their movement and their music.

By becoming increasingly aware of their own bodies as sound sources, dancers will navigate through movement to reach sound, and through sound to reach movement.

This workshop, never before offered in Canada by Angélique Willkie, is designed to encourage dancers to use their voice but is open to those who work with voice and have limited movement experience.
