Anatomy of movement: a workshop for dance educators
On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Through demonstrations and practical exercises, participants will deepen their understanding of the structure and function of the human body in the context of dance. The workshop will cover the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems and their roles in creating movement.
Objectives of this workshop:
- Review of basic anatomy: deepen your knowledge of essential movement structures, including bones, muscles, and joints.
- Movement analysis: explore the biomechanics behind common dance movements and positions.
- Body preparation strategies: learn effective warming, stretching, and conditioning methods to improve performance and reduce injury risk.
