Call for Participants | Personalized Support Program

Looking for concrete tools to present your work, target your markets and develop effective strategies to make your work shine?

Requirements

  • Have professional status as a choreographer or dance artist.
  • Have presented your choreography to an audience in a professional setting.
  • Have a project ready for presentation.
  • Have submitted at least one grant application (regardless of the application being successful).
  • Be ready to invest yourself in tasks that will be assigned through the process.

Important

  • Places are limited. We shall select approximately eight (8) participants. The number of hours allotted to each person is determined according to the time available and the applications received.
  • RQD members are given priority.
  • Coaching is offered online, as an individual package.
  • The schedule for your meetings will be determined with the facilitator assigned to your case, but the entire intervention must take place between October 15, 2024, and March 15, 2025.
  • Make sure you have time and are motivated, as you will need to be available and committed if you participate in the program!

You are taking your first steps in market development, we recommend that you register for the professional development session Quebec Presenting Networks and My Positioning.

 

How to apply

Step 1

Read the Personalized Support Program description: Develop Presenting Strategies.

Step 2

Prepare your application file (incomplete files will not be considered) :

  • Complete our registration form.
  • Provide a description of your support needs (maximum 250 words).
  • Provide your schedule of past screenings and, if applicable, upcoming ones.
  • Provide a description of your work to be showcased, including, if available, a link to an online video excerpt.
  • Attach a text describing your artistic approach, your updated CV, and an example of a grant application (whether it was successful or not) that you have previously submitted.

Step 3

Applications that cannot be accepted into the Program may be submitted to the Coup de Pouce program, depending on its available funds.

 

Financial contribution

The RQD covers the payment for the facilitator through financial support from Intervention-Compétences, but you are required to pay a contribution of $18 per hour.

 

This program, offered by the Regroupement québécois de la danse, is made possible with the financial support of the Government of Quebec, through the Intervention-Compétences program administered by Compétence Culture.
