Talking circle: Continuing the conversation
The RQD has presented talking circles on systemic racism, cultural appropriation and the decolonization of dance, and now it invites you to continue the dialogue with a talking circle on inclusion in all its forms. All artists or workers in the dance community are invited to share their experiences, thoughts and concerns and to discuss the actions that must be undertaken to make our sector more inclusive. These exchanges are intended to identify the systemic obstacles faced by artists from minoritized, othered and equity-seeking groups and determine how to remove them. This is a good opportunity to foster continued dialogue, encourage encounters and recognize our plural identity.
On March 5, the MAI will graciously welcome us to its café from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The doors open from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., after which they will remain closed to foster the spirit of disclosure that these discussions require.
