Spring Session for Contemporary Dance Classes with Charles-Alexis Desgagnés

I’m offering a contemporary dance spring semester in the Studio A of Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique Saint-André (on the corner of Ontario between Berri UQAM and Sherbrooke stations) from March 24, 2025 to June 19, 2025, on Monday and Thursday evenings!

MONDAY 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ALL LEVELS

MONDAY 7:45 pm to 9:15 pm INTER-AVANCED

THURSDAY from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ALL LEVELS

THURSDAY 7.45pm to 9.15pm INTER-AGENCY

On the menu, an equilateral balance between awakening one’s own body as performer-choreographer, meeting others through improvisation and learning codified choreographic material.

LOOKING AT YOURSELF (30 min) : Global warm-up combining somatic awareness, improvisation, technical and muscular strengthening, cardiovascular effort, quality of presence, yoga and meditation.

REGARD VERS L’AUTRE (30 min): Improvisation exercises in duo or trio, improvisation circles, exploration of the different choreographic bodies used in Personne Danse’s creative processes.

WRITTEN MOVEMENT/REPERTOIRE (30 min): Learning choreographic phrases exploring floor work, vertical work and presence work, juxtaposing subtle somatic work and body virtuosity. Sometimes the phrases will be from the company’s repertoire, sometimes new phrases designed specifically for the classes!

13 weeks of classes

1 semester (13 classes) = $280+taxes

2 semesters (26 classes) = $525+taxes

Drop-in = $23+taxes
