Position: Communications Manager
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: 10 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to 15 hours starting in September 2025
Location: Hybrid position with a mix of remote work and in-office presence in Montreal
Job Description:
As part of a restructuring, we are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to take on the role of Communications Manager. This key position involves a range of responsibilities in communications and development, contributing to the company’s visibility and long-term sustainability. You will work closely with the artistic and administrative teams to develop and implement innovative communication and fundraising strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
General Communications:
- Develop and execute communication strategies to promote the company’s projects and activities.
- Manage social media and the website, including content creation.
- Write and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
Writing:
- Contribute to writing synopses and other presentation documents for artistic projects.
- Prepare grant applications and reports for funding organizations (for upcoming seasons).
Fundraising Campaigns:
- Plan and coordinate fundraising campaigns (crowdfunding, events, etc.).
- Design and implement a donation campaign to support the company’s long-term activities.
Desired Profile:
- Relevant experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong writing skills (French and English proficiency is an asset).
- Good knowledge of the cultural sector, ideally in the performing arts.
- Autonomy, creativity, and strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with content management tools, online donation platforms, and social media.
Conditions:
- Fixed-term contract, 10 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to 15 hours starting in September 2025.
- Salary to be discussed based on experience.
- Hybrid position with a mix of remote work and in-office presence in Montreal.
