Call for Projects – Young Audiences
Tangente is launching the third edition of its call for projects for a co-production aimed at young audiences!
We want to support an artist or collective in creating a new choreographic work that explores form and ideas while nurturing the awakening of the world in an adolescent audience through art and dance. How can dance stimulate artistic curiosity, spark social reflections, and cultivate the human connections necessary for individual and collective emancipation?
Tangente is looking for collectives or artists interested in creating a work for young audiences over a period of two or three years. The project includes an initial co-creation phase with young people, followed by dissemination and mediation activities in the second and third years of the process. The first public performance is scheduled for the fall of 2026. Throughout the process, Tangente’s team will provide support, aiming for the encounter with adolescents to inspire the artist’s creative approach.
This call is aimed at emerging choreographers based in the Montreal metropolitan area, as the partnerships are based in this region. Recognizing diversity as essential, Tangente invites women, Indigenous people, visible minorities, ethnic minorities, and individuals with diverse intelligences and abilities to submit a project.
Who is this for?

- Artists from the Montreal metropolitan area
- Artists who have already produced their first professional work
- Artists with a marked interest in youth
- Artists with school or community partners (a plus)
