Experience the behind-the-scenes work of a major international theatre and dance festival. Do you enjoy leading motivated teams, managing logistical details, and ensuring smooth coordination in a dynamic event environment? By working closely with the technical team of the Festival TransAmériques (FTA), you will help bring the 19th edition to life.
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing the movement of materials. They oversee deliveries and pickups while coordinating the schedules of three drivers. Reporting to the Technical Director, the Transportation Coordinator collaborates closely with the technical team and takes on the following specific responsibilities:
- Coordinate the transportation of materials (audio, lighting, video equipment, set pieces, props, dance floors, etc.) for the production team;
- Supervise the production drivers, provide them with daily schedules, and ensure their health and safety by promoting safe and effective methods for handling and loading transported materials;
- Receive transport requests from the festival’s technical management and compile a complete daily list of transportation needs;
- Create and maintain delivery schedules for all shows;
- Send out daily transport schedules to the technical management team, suppliers, and venue coordinators;
- Organize and oversee the transportation of festival equipment.
