Call for applications | FQD 2025

 

The call for applications for the 23rd edition of the Festival Quartiers Danses (FQD) is now open!

Would you like to be part of the lineup for the 23rd edition of the FQD?

The FQD is inviting local, Canadian, and international choreographers and companies who wish to present a Montreal, Canadian, or world premiere, or a remount, during the 23rd edition, which will take place from September 4 to 14, 2025.

The FQD is a platform for emerging, mid-career, and established contemporary dance artists. You can now submit your application for our indoor and urban programming!

For indoor programming:

  • Proposed pieces must be created for indoor settings.
  • Pieces must be between 10 to 20 minutes long for Emerging and Mid-career choreographers.
  • Established choreographers can propose a work lasting between 10 to 45 minutes.

For urban programming:

  • Proposed pieces must be created for outdoor settings (no In Situ works Defined as a work created for a specific location and responding to that space).
  • Choreographic works with a continuous music soundtrack are prioritized.
  • Pieces must be 5 minutes long for Emerging choreographers.
  • Pieces must be 10 to 15 minutes long for Mid-career choreographers.
  • Pieces must be 10 to 30 minutes long for Mid-career and Established choreographers.

To apply for the 23rd edition of the FQD, you must submit this form by Sunday, November 4, 2024, at 11:59 PM. No applications will be accepted after this date and time. Only complete submissions will be considered.
