Over the course of a full weekend, experience the joint work of Christophe Garcia (La Parenthèse) and Érika Tremblay-Roy (Le Petit Théâtre de Sherbrooke). At the root of the collaboration between the two artists is the desire to create hybrid works between dance and theater, in which the two media are finely embroidered, one never taking precedence over the other. A search for the right balance and tension between their writings, allowing a common language to emerge. Their first two research processes led to the creation of Lettre pour Éléna and Le problème avec le rose, shows co-presented by Les Gros Becs and La Rotonde in October 2017 and June 2022. Both shows, aimed at young audiences, have met with great success on national and international stages.

What to expect?

Through a sequence of exercises, games and guided exploration, this two-day training course offers participants the opportunity to touch the worlds of both artists, and to grapple with the questions at the heart of their joint approach: What path should we take to bring out the best in our two worlds? What is the point of contact between our sensibilities, perspectives and desires and those of the children we address?

This activity is offered by Théâtre jeunesse Les Gros Becs and La Rotonde, in collaboration with l’Artère and with the support of Première Ovation.
