About Anne Le Beau

After a classical training, Anne Le Beau continued her studies at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (formerly LADMMI). Since 1990, she has danced for many nationally and internationally renowned choreographers, including Isabelle Van Grimde, Sylvain Émard, Danielle Desnoyers, Linda Gaudreau, Catherine Tardif, Paola de Vasconcelos, David Presseault, Mélanie Demers, Manon Oligny, Martin Bélanger, José Navas, Dave Saint-Pierre, Virginie Brunelle, and Louise Bédard. These collaborations have led her to participate in numerous tours in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Japan.

Anne has also collaborated with director Brigitte Haentjens, who created a solo (De Chair) for her in 2003 and a duo (Ta Douleur) in 2012. In 2005, Sophie Deraspe cast her in the lead role in the film Rechercher Victor Pellerin.

Alongside her performing career, Anne is dedicated to teaching. She has been part of the faculty at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal for over 30 years, where she teaches contemporary technique and interpretation. In 2010, she joined the team of lecturers at the dance department of UQÀM. She is also known for her work as a rehearsal director with emerging choreographers.

In 2007, Anne Le Beau received the Jacqueline Lemieux Prize for her outstanding achievements.
