In-Person Audition Call – Voie Alternative – Professional Dance Therapy Training Program

The Voie Alternative training program is designed for dancers and healthcare professionals who wish to obtain certification as a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist, according to the criteria of the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA).

This training is unique in Canada. It offers ADTA-approved dance therapy courses developed in partnership with the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Centre. Selected students will complete 270 hours of coursework taught by American dance therapists who are internationally recognized as pioneers in the field.

Auditions for the fifth cohort of students in the Voie Alternative program will take place in November 2024. Through various improvisation sessions, the auditions will aim to evaluate:

• Movement repertoire and quality;
• Behavior in a group context requiring leadership, as well as in an individual context;
• Ability to express and interact through movement.

November 16 and 17, 2024: In-person auditions

Audition groups will be assigned on November 8, 2024. You will receive an email with your audition appointment time and all necessary details.
