DESCRIPTION
Get ready for the wonderful world of Bollywood! This high-energy, emotionally-charged dance style from the Bollywood film industry has many influences and a rich repertoire! In this class, we’ll cross eras and navigate through the different styles that make up this dance, exploring the art of storytelling in movement. In addition to strengthening your technique, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about Indian culture and the world of Bollywood cinema through dance, as well as boosting your self-confidence and, above all, having fun!
After an opening ritual, the class begins with a dynamic warm-up, followed by technical exercises (mudras, head movements, footwork, rhythm, etc.). The class continues with the learning of a choreography. Each class will focus on a theme/aspect of Bollywood dance (film, decade, influence…).
