Auditions for the Voie Alternative Training Program – Professional Dance Therapy Training

The Voie Alternative program is designed for dancers and healthcare professionals who wish to obtain professional certification as a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist, according to the criteria of the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA).

This training is unique in Canada, offering ADTA-approved dance therapy courses developed in partnership with the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center. Selected students will undergo 270 hours of training led by American dance therapists who are globally recognized as pioneers in the field.

Please note that the Voie Alternative is not a turnkey training program.

Auditions for the fifth cohort of the Voie Alternative will take place in November 2024. During various improvisation sessions, the auditions will assess:

Movement repertoire and quality
Behavior in a group context requiring leadership, as well as in an individual context
Ability to express and interact through movement
