AWOKENING – Winnie Ho

Presented in collaboration with the Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée.

The dancer experiments with wok cooking, drawing on the knowledge passed down by her father and examining the techniques and materials used in Cantonese cuisine. She listens to her ancestors and reconnects intimately with them by immersing herself in the wok chi (鑊氣).

aWokening is a landscape of dreams and memories expressed in an immersive and multisensory experience blending smells, sounds, tastes, and images.
