Call for Member: Seeking for a Choreographer – Lorganisme
Lorganisme is looking for a new choreographer to join its members. This call is aimed at independent artists who wish to be supported by a long-term structure in the management of their artistic projects.
Founded in 2010, Lorganisme unites the strengths of independent choreographers and fosters the development of their respective artistic approaches by pooling their human, material and creative resources. Through its structuring actions, Lorganisme serves as a beacon and anchor for its artist members, promoting both the influence and longevity of their work.
Lorganisme’s mandate is to offer its members shared resources in administration, production, communications and development, as well as a space for reflection and artistic sharing. From grant applications to dissemination and reporting, Lorganisme takes charge of the administration of each of its members’ artistic projects, according to a comprehensive service grid.
In the interests of openness and sharing with the artistic community, joint initiatives and activities are also initiated, developed and run by Lorganisme’s artist members. Each member plays an active part in the life of the structure, notably by getting involved in committees formed around common projects or on the Lorganisme Board of Directors.
The current members of Lorganisme are Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, Sébastien Provencher, Sovann Rochon Prom Tep, Amélie Rajotte and Anne Thériault.
Desired profile and terms of membership
Lorganisme is looking for an artist with an active career who is committed to the values of sharing, solidarity and initiative on which the structure is founded.
The artist will be expected to :
- Provide a minimum contribution of $5040 per year (from both income generated by artistic projects and personal contributions)
- Commit to the organization for a minimum of 2 years and longer (an asset)
- Not own a registered company
- Take an active part in the life of the structure by participating in general meetings, shoulder-to-shoulder lakes, artistic committees or scheduled board meetings
