Physical and Acrobatic Skills Required

DynamO Théâtre’s mission includes the exploration of body movement in space. This workshop revisits a foundational element embedded in DynamO Théâtre’s DNA: the physical work between a base and a flyer, known as “hand-to-hand.”

Key Questions Explored:

– How does even a simple hand-to-hand movement begin?
– How do you initiate and end contact with your partner?
– How to execute, undo, and redo movements? What meaning can these movements or sequences have?
– What do we see, what do we feel?

Participants are invited to a period of exploration, reflection, and analysis of movement. This is an opportunity to collaboratively find answers to these questions under the supervision of NICOLAS GERMAINE, a movement specialist.

About Nicolas Germaine:
A trainer in circus arts for over 15 years, Nicolas has served as a coach and artistic scout at Cirque Éloize, and as an acrobatic designer for several circus festivals. He is currently an Artistic Advisor at the National Circus School of Montreal. Nicolas holds a degree in sports science and techniques and a Master’s in Physiology and Biomechanics of Motor Performance. In 2006, he obtained a DEC as a Circus Arts Trainer at the National Circus School of Montreal and has pursued several related trainings. His passion for movement and creative research is inexhaustible, as is his curiosity.
