Circular Music Quebec

Circular Music Quebec is a gathering place where we explore vocal improvisation and body percussion.

Building on our recent circle experiences (in Saint-Casimir and Quebec), Valérie Pitre and Karine Chiasson invite you to discover this universe that offers a balm for the soul. We want to create a community of passionate and curious people who share a common interest: collectively creating rhythm.

After several years of refining our rhythm and body percussion skills, we want to share all the knowledge we’ve gained from our travels to Brazil and Ghana with you.

The idea of singing may sometimes be intimidating (even for us), but these circle spaces focus more on the freedom of voice, breath, sounds, and tones. And it’s all the better if the urge to sing out loud arises! The goal is to feel safe, in a “safe space” to create and harness the power of the collective. It’s a blend of voices, body percussion, guided improvisation, and complete freedom to bring forth whatever emerges in the present moment.

So, we invite you to come and share moments filled with happiness and simplicity.
