Marc Boivin’s classes draw their inspiration from the Limón technique and the principles of ballet. Through form and gaze, participants learn to strike a balance between strength and freedom of movement, and develop a clarity of impulse in their proprioceptive space, as well as a relationship of intention towards the performance space.

A prodigious dancer with an evocative sensitivity, Marc Boivin began his career as a teacher at the EDCM in 1987. Driven by a passion for the pedagogical approach and his career as a dancer, he teaches improvisation and technique classes on a regular basis, and offers coaching services across Canada.

Kelly Keenan

Kelly Keenan’s classes draw on in-depth experience with Axis Syllabus to offer somatic explorations, improvisation games, dance scores, and movement phrases with a gradual increase in the level of athleticism. Curiosity, play and experimentation are encouraged with a view to giving the body sensitive, effective and safe reception and propulsion strategies.

Kelly Keenan has been practicing and teaching movement since 2001. She looks at how different anatomical models, which guide various practices, influence bodily relations in dance. Her reference touchstones include Axis Syllabus, manual therapies, Feldenkrais and Material of the Spine (Paxton).
